Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) – Assisted Living Facility | Astoria, Oregon

Help residents find their voice and improve their quality of life in a setting where communication matters. We’re looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to work with older adults in an assisted living facility, providing essential therapy for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing challenges.

Position Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Patient Load: Approximately 7 patients per day / 35 visits per week
  • Compensation: $75,000 - $85,000 annually

Key Duties:

  • Assess and treat speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices.
  • Work closely with a multidisciplinary team to enhance residents’ well-being.
  • Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication strategies and safe swallowing techniques.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and update treatment plans as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

How To Qualify:

  • Master’s or Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Active SLP license in Oregon.
  • At least two years of clinical experience.
  • Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach.
