Job Type:

Full-time position. W-2 with benefits

Schedule:

  • Rotational shifts, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • On-call duties as per schedule, ensuring immediate availability for trauma cases.

Job Setting:

  • Our facility is a designated Level I Trauma Center

You will work in an environment where groundbreaking technology and medical advancements are seamlessly integrated into the delivery of patient care. This includes:

  • Advanced imaging systems, such as high-resolution CT scanners and MRI machines that allow for precise and efficient diagnosis of complex trauma cases.
  • Our surgical suites are equipped with the latest minimally invasive surgical instruments and robotic-assisted platforms, enabling our surgeons to perform intricate procedures with enhanced precision and patient outcomes.
  • Our facility houses a dedicated trauma resuscitation area, fully equipped with advanced life support systems and monitoring capabilities to provide immediate and comprehensive care to critically injured patients.

As a Trauma Surgeon, you will:

  • Provide comprehensive care to trauma patients, from initial assessment and resuscitation to surgical intervention and post-operative management.
  • Perform life-saving surgical procedures, including emergency laparotomy, thoracotomies, and orthopedic procedures.
  • Collaborate with other specialists to ensure coordinated care, including consultations and transfers when necessary.
  • Participate in trauma rounds, case conferences, and teaching activities to enhance the knowledge and skills of colleagues and trainees.
  • Engage in research, quality improvement initiatives, and protocol development to advance trauma care.

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Successful completion of an accredited residency program in General Surgery.
  • Unrestricted and active board certification in General Surgery.
  • Fellowship training in Trauma Surgery or extensive experience in a Level I Trauma Center.
  • Proven proficiency in performing trauma surgical procedures, including complex and life-saving interventions.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make quick decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying up-to-date with the latest advances in trauma surgery.
  • Familiarity with trauma protocols, guidelines, and evidence-based practices.
