SCHEDULE:
Regular business hours with occasional on-call and weekend duties.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform surgical procedures on patients, including but not limited to, appendectomies, gallbladder removal, hernia repair, and other general surgical interventions.
  • Conduct pre-operative consultations with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and obtain informed consent.
  • Evaluate patients' medical histories and perform thorough physical examinations to ensure they are fit for surgery.
  • Order and interpret necessary diagnostic tests, such as X-rays, MRIs, and lab work, to assist in the diagnosis and treatment planning process.
  • Collaborate with other medical specialists, nurses, and support staff to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal surgical outcomes.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in surgical techniques, technology, and best practices to enhance surgical outcomes and patient safety.
  • Provide post-operative care and monitor patients' recovery progress, ensuring appropriate wound healing and managing any potential complications.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records and documentation in compliance with medical standards and regulations.
  • Contribute to medical research and education through participation in conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities.

Qualifications:

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school and completion of a residency program in General Surgery.
  • Board certification or eligibility for board certification in General Surgery from the [General Surgery Board].
  • Valid medical license to practice in [State/Region/Country].
  • Proven experience in performing a variety of general surgical procedures.
