Full-time General Surgeon in Poughkeepsie town, NY

Med Prime Surgical Hospital is a large, reputable non-profit hospital system seeking for a full-time general surgeon to represents the largest non-profit healthcare system in the United States. The Community offers an extensive care network inclusive of 3 hospitals, ASCs, post-acute services, ambulatory clinics, imaging centers and laboratories along the Coast.

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (9:00 AM to 3:00 PM)
  • No weekends

Salary:

Enjoy an annual base pay between $250,000 and $290,000, depending on experience (DOE).

Qualifications:

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
  • Completion of a surgical residency program.
  • Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery.
  • Valid state medical license.
  • Proficiency in surgical techniques and procedures.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 24-hour general surgery/trauma call coverage
  • Provide Trauma/acute care services
  • Partner with Emergency Medicine Physicians and Hospitalists
  • Seasoned support staff and clinical team
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as anesthesiologists and nurses, to ensure safe and effective surgical procedures.
  • Stay up-to-date with advancements in surgical techniques and technology.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to other medical staff.
