ORAL SURGEON NEEDED
Rubbers and Wires Dental Clinic is hiring an Oral Surgeon to perform a full range of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery service on site, using furnished facilities, equipment and supplies to a variety of patients.

Salary:

Responsibilities:
  • History, detailed examination, testing and diagnosis; and treatment of patients in conjunction with oral surgical procedures.
  • Performance of dental procedures compatible with the facility's operating capability, equipment and privileges granted.
  • Providing immediate evaluation and management of emergency problems as they occur in addition to regularly scheduled appointments.
  • Performing preoperative and postoperative care.
  • Preparing and submitting appropriate documentation as specified in applicable regulations.
  • Be proficient in the extraction of simple fully erupted primary and permanent teeth.
  • Be proficient in the extraction of teeth with severe caries, teeth previously treated with nonsurgical root canal therapy (NSRCT), or teeth diagnosed as non-restorable.
  • Be proficient in complex surgical extractions of partially/fully impacted teeth requiring the use of a surgical handpiece for sectioning of teeth and ostectomy of bone.
  • Be proficient in procedures requiring Incision and Drainage (I & D) for treatment of infection and placement of surgical drains.
  • Be proficient in incisional/excisional biopsy technique.
  • Provide surgical assistance and advice to staff dental officers on surgical technique.
  • Reduction and fixation of fractures.
Qualifications:
The provider of Oral Surgery services shall possess and maintain for the duration of this agreement:
  • A diploma from an accredited school of dentistry.
  • A current unrestricted active license to practice Dentistry from one of the 50 states, District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U. S. Virgin Islands;
  • A current board certification in the field of Oral Maxillofacial Surgery.
  • A Current Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) registration certification.
  • “No unfavorable information on file” rating with the National Practitioners Data Bank (NPDB).
  • A current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) for the Health Care Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA), American Red Cross (ARC), American Safety and Health Institute (ASHI), or the American College of Emergency Physicians (ACEP).
  • A minimum of three (3) years recent experience in the past five (5) years.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Must pass a criminal background check.
