Full-time Orthopedic Surgeon in Arlington, Virginia

Seeking fully trained US board-eligible, certified, and licensed Orthopaedic Surgeons for our Outpatient office. The ideal candidate will manage the care of disorders related to musculoskeletal injuries, illnesses, and deformities.

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday to Friday, 9 AM – 5 PM

Compensation: $100,000 – $120,000 per year + benefits

Patient Volume: 1-2 Patients per Hour

Job Duties:

  • Develop and deliver treatment plans including prescribed medications and non-surgical treatments
  • Provide consulting services to other physicians
  • Assess and coordinate with other healthcare professionals such as physical therapists
  • Perform movement screenings and biomechanical assessments to prevent re-injury
  • Work with athletes on return-to-play protocols and performance-enhancement strategies
  • Monitor patient's health conditions and progress through regular checkups and follow-up appointments.
  • Maintain proper credentialing and state licenses and any special certifications or requirements necessary to perform the job.
  • Returns cases in a timely manner with clear concise and complete rationales and documented criteria.

Requirements:

  • Board-certified MD, DO, with an excellent understanding of network services and managed care, appropriate utilization of services and credentialing, quality assurance and the development of policies that support these services.
  • Current, unrestricted clinical license(s)
  • Board certification by the American Board of Medical Specialties
  • Must be in active medical practice to perform appeals
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work alongside physicians, trainers, and coaches
  • Strong knowledge of sports medicine, injury prevention, and rehabilitation techniques
