We're Hiring: Ultrasound Technologist | Hospital or Imaging Center | New York, NY

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $65,000.00 - $85,000 per year + benefits

As an Ultrasound Technologist, you’ll be responsible for operating ultrasound equipment to capture detailed images of the body’s internal structures. These images help physicians make accurate diagnoses, plan treatments, and ensure patients receive the care they need.

Job Duties:

  • Perform diagnostic ultrasound exams including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
  • Capture high-quality images and measurements, ensuring the best possible diagnostic outcomes
  • Review images to ensure clarity and accuracy, and communicate findings to the supervising physician
  • Prepare patients for ultrasound procedures by explaining the process and addressing concerns
  • Maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring calibration and functionality at all times
  • Follow established safety and infection control guidelines
  • Document all procedures accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) system
  • Stay current on advancements in ultrasound technology and best practices

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or related field
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification through ARDMS required
  • New York State License or eligibility (if applicable)
  • 1–3 years of experience in diagnostic ultrasound preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ultrasound imaging techniques and technology
  • Exceptional patient care skills and a compassionate approach
  • Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) and PACS systems
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
