Job Title: Sonographer – Medical Center (Los Angeles, CA)
Job Type: Full Time
Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM
Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000 per year + benefits
As a Sonographer at Harmony Hill Medical Center, you will play a critical role in performing ultrasound imaging to help diagnose a variety of medical conditions. Working with physicians and other healthcare providers, you will ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient capture of images used for diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient care. You will be responsible for maintaining high-quality imaging standards, patient safety, and ensuring that all procedures are performed in a professional, patient-centered manner.
Job Duties:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound procedures including abdominal, OB/GYN, vascular, and small parts imaging
- Explain procedures and answer patient questions to ensure comfort and cooperation
- Analyze and record anatomical data, select appropriate images, and forward findings to physicians
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, and adhere to infection control and HIPAA guidelines
- Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of ultrasound equipment
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and follow-up
- Participate in quality control initiatives and continuing education opportunities
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field from an accredited program.
- Certification from a recognized organization such as the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in sonography is required.
- Previous experience in a clinical or hospital setting performing ultrasound procedures is preferred but not required.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient-first approach
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Experience with EMR and PACS systems
