Job Title: Sonographer – Hospital Setting (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania)

Job Type: Full Time

Work Hours: Monday - Friday: 9 AM-5 PM

Compensation: $70,000.00 - $80,000 per year + benefits


We are seeking a dedicated Sonographer to join our hospital’s imaging team. You’ll work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment using the latest ultrasound technology while making a real impact on patients’ lives every single day.

As a Sonographer, you’ll be responsible for performing high-quality diagnostic ultrasound exams and supporting physicians in assessing and diagnosing a variety of medical conditions. You’ll combine technical excellence with compassionate, patient-centered care across a broad range of clinical settings.

Job Duties:

  • Perform ultrasound examinations of the abdomen, pelvis, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular systems as ordered by physicians.
  • Position patients appropriately to obtain high-quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
  • Analyze ultrasound images for accuracy, quality, and diagnostic relevance.
  • Prepare and maintain ultrasound equipment, ensuring proper functioning and calibration.
  • Review patient medical history and physician orders to determine appropriate diagnostic imaging protocols.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including ultrasound findings and technical notes.
  • Communicate findings to the supervising physician or radiologist, ensuring timely and accurate transmission of results.
  • Provide education to patients about the procedure and what to expect during the ultrasound.
  • Maintain compliance with all infection control standards, safety regulations, and HIPAA privacy guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program.
  • Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required, or in progress.
  • Additional certifications in specific areas such as obstetrics/gynecology (OB/GYN), abdomen, or vascular ultrasound preferred.
  • 1–2 years of experience as a Sonographer in a hospital or clinical setting preferred; new graduates welcome to apply.
  • Experience with a variety of ultrasound procedures, including OB/GYN, abdominal, and vascular exams.
