Let’s face it. We are in a talent crisis with so many available jobs in the US, but the path towards connecting to the most talented and qualified people is becoming more challenging.

How do you create compelling job postings that will attract the right people to your job post? 


Employers’ ability to post their job offers online also comes with a catch. Job seekers have more power to search a company’s culture, perks that come with the job, and salary range. These details and more have become crucial information for job seekers before they decide to send their applications. 


This means that you as an employer need to create a compelling job posting. 


  • The job title must be clear, and easily understandable. 

  • The job description must be engaging. It should include the highlights of the job, but it should be written in an attractive way. 

  • Emphasize key information. Job descriptions tend to be lengthy, so your job post needs to emphasize your most attractive benefits, perks or offers or part of your culture that will fetch you an application from people who can relate to them. 

  • Include salary details. Surveys show that many applicants using job boards are hesitant in applying for a role if the salary, or even just a salary range is missing from the job posting. 

  • Contact details should be clear and the company should be easy to reach. Applicants may want to send you additional questions, so provide information on how they can contact you. 

  • Images or videos in the job posting add to the attraction. Prepare your company details that include relevant media (pictures and videos or company statistics, job details, employee perks, etc) and post them in your job ad.
